Liliana Cervantes’ hilarious insights on her adoption, elderly parents and homosexuality have made Liliana the the most talked about emerging comedian in LA. She’s shared the stage with the likes of Dave Coulier, Tom Arnold, Willie Barcena, Joey Medina & Jeff Garcia. Soon you’ll see her on every TV set in America…or at least Ellen.
 
STORYTELLERS 
 
Marisa Ramirez is the founding Site Director for College Track Watts, and began with the organization in 2014 as the founding Student Life Director for the i.am College Track team in Boyle Heights. Prior, Marisa was a founding member of the KIPP Through College team for KIPP LA Schools.

Michael Dougherty is originally from New York and blessed with spina bifida. Michael has called Los Angeles home for the past six years. He is a filmmaker, writer, and advocate who, brick by brick, is slowly taking over Hollywood. He believes we are our stories.

Brittany Ballard is a film, music video and event producer, performer, screenwriter and songwriter. Her latest project, INSTAFAM, is a comedy web series exploring millennial struggles through pregnancy, joblessness, divorce, and unconventional love. She is passionate about creating spaces and opportunities for artists to share and grow their work.

Kamali Minter is a relationship coach & artist, who fuses her knowledge of spirituality, storytelling, filmmaking, and teaching, to help us experience the love that we are. Through classes, workshops, media content, and private coaching, her students learn how to get out of their heads, and into the wisdom in their bodies.

PANELISTS
 
Dan Parziale is the Director of Housing Services at LA Family Housing (LAFH) in North Hollywood.  After several years working with the nonprofit Aid Still Required and receiving his Masters in Nonprofit Administration from Notre Dame, Dan joined the team at LAFH in 2014.  He is primarily focused on working to end family homelessness in LA County.
 
Rachel Fleischer is an LA-based director, writer, actress, musician & photographer. Her award-winning documentary Without A Home chronicles her personal experiences documenting the lives of homeless. Today, she’s recording an album with producer/musician Blake Collins, while actively developing a slate of film/TV projects for herself to direct and act in.
 
Saxon Kincy
In 2014 Saxon Kincy, ​rapper O​ld ​M​an Saxon, was homeless in LA, but he never gave up on his dream of becoming a hip hop star. Every night he wrote in the back of his car - hundreds of songs, choosing four that best captured his experience​ ​to make The Perils, his latest EP.​
Harry Gantz
Harry Gantz is a producer and director. His newest project is award-winning documentary, American Winter: www.americanwinterfilm.com. He is also known for Sex with Strangers (2002) and Taxicab Confessions (1995).
